We are delighted to welcome all our presenters and delegates to the BME IDEA APAC 2024 conference in Melbourne, Victoria, hosted by Biodesign Australia in collaboration with Taipei Medical University.
The four-day program offers a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge and best practice for running biomedical innovation programs, including expert international advice for local teams and program design to suit local ecosystems.
The conference will highlight the exciting Australian medtech ecosystem and promote collaboration opportunities with our international colleagues representing programs in the Asia Pacific Region.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we will host the conference, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.

The goals of BME IDEA are to:
Share experiences and best practices across biomedical engineering programs regarding teaching innovation, design, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship.
Discuss objectives, challenges, and opportunities for the advancement of these programs, including industry and academic perspectives.
Explore the potential for sharing resources and creating community-wide tools to promote innovation in biomedical engineering.
